Knowledge!Installation and adjustment of centrifugal fans

Centrifugal fans are widely used in factories, coal mines, tunnels, cooling towers, vehicles, ships, buildings and other fields for ventilation, dust removal, cooling and other functions.

The centrifugal fan is essentially a driven fluid machine that can use input mechanical energy to increase air pressure and discharge gas.

When installing centrifugal fans, certain measures must be taken.

1. The entire unit needs to be placed directly on the site and leveled using double inclined pads.

2. When assembling on site, the base needs to be protected to ensure that there will be no rust, cracks, etc.

3. The bearing seat and base must be tightly connected, with vertical unevenness not exceeding 0.2/1000 and horizontal unevenness not exceeding 0.3/1000.

4. Before grinding and scraping the bearing bush, it is necessary to calibrate the axis of the rotor and the axis of the casing, and correct the gap between the impeller, the air inlet, and the main shaft and the bearing bush.

5. When adjusting the hole axis of the chassis rear baffle, it is also necessary to comply with the requirements of the equipment’s technical documentation.

6. When installing a centrifugal fan with roller bearings, you can determine whether the axiality of the bearing holes on the bearing frame is the same based on the ease of rotation of the rotor after installation.

In order to ensure the effectiveness of the centrifugal fan, adjustment work is also very important. Depending on the situation, various measures can be taken to adjust the centrifugal fan to its optimal state.

1. During trial operation, read the product manual carefully, check whether the circuit connections of each part are correct, and ensure that there is no power outage or in-phase condition.

2. Two people need to be present during the test, one person is responsible for controlling the power supply, and the other person observes the operating status of the fan.

3. It is necessary to check whether the operating current of each phase is balanced and whether the current exceeds the rated voltage to ensure that there are no abnormal conditions during operation.

4. After the centrifugal fan reaches normal speed, measure whether the input current of the fan is normal and ensure that its operating current does not exceed the rated voltage to avoid motor damage.

5. During the test run of the fan, it is necessary to gradually open the pipeline gate valve to achieve the required working conditions, and pay attention to monitor whether the operating current of the fan is normal.

6. Do not exceed the rated voltage.
