Although the fresh air unit and the air conditioning unit are different, they can complement each other in functions. When installing the fresh air unit, a fan coil unit is installed in each room separately. Difference one:
The fresh air unit is used to handle fresh air. Generally, the fresh air unit is used in conjunction with the fan coil unit. The fan coil unit + fresh air unit is actually similar to the air conditioner. Under normal circumstances, the air conditioner itself has a fresh air outlet, and the fresh air is used to ensure the quality of indoor air and supplement the indoor exhaust air. Since the fan coil unit has no fresh air outlet, all the fresh air needs to be provided by the fresh air unit. The fresh air provided by the fresh air unit and the return air treated by the fan coil unit, or mixed first and then processed by the fan coil unit, and then sent into the room.
Difference two:
The fresh air unit mainly handles outdoor air, while the air conditioning unit is used to handle the air treated by the fresh air unit. However, the fresh air unit can have return air, and the return air can also have fresh air. The purpose is to better adjust parameters such as temperature and humidity.
Difference three:
Generally speaking, the fresh air unit does not bear the heat and humidity load of the air-conditioning area. The main function is to supply fresh air. Of course, the ideal state is that the temperature and humidity of the air supply are constant, so the fresh air unit generally controls the temperature and humidity of the air supply.
Difference four:
The air-conditioning unit loads the heat and humidity load of the air-conditioning area, plays a comprehensive role in the air conditioning in the air-conditioning area, and at the same time ensures a certain amount of fresh air. Air conditioning units are usually mainly to control the temperature, humidity, and air quality of the air conditioning area, and the air treatment process is generally more complicated.
Difference five:
Air conditioning units are more complex in the process than fresh air units for air treatment, so air conditioning units are mostly used in large-scale public areas where fan coil units cannot be installed, while fresh air units are mostly used in small areas where fan coil units are installed.
